Big slow fish?

Biggest fish I can get, that is reef safe that would live in a 46 forever.

I am sick of tiny fish and want something bigger than 1.5 inches, but everything needs so much damn room. Is there a fish I've missed that is bigger that won't grow too big?

I want to get a tang, but they need more room and I doubt I'll ever upgrade to a bigger tank.

Re: Big slow fish?

here... 30g min tank size, and gets up to 6"... and reef safe!
Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Sargassum Fish

This one MAY nip at corals...
Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Coral Beaty Agelfish Dwarf Angels

Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Jade Filefish

Now, this guy will eat all your snails, and crabs. But a fun little fish. It says not reef safe, but mine did great.. minus having to replace the CUC often.:
Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Saddle Valentini Puffer

Your tank is slightly too small for this guy, however he is a cool fish! :
Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Harlequin Tusk

That should get ya started..

Re: Big slow fish?

Thanks for the reply first of all.

But... none of them seem friendly. They either eat coral or fish or my CUC. I guess I'm doomed to have tiny fish.

Re: Big slow fish?

There aren't many (if any) larger fish that will do well in a small tank like that.

Re: Big slow fish?

You could get a number of schooling fish like anthias. Big color impact from a few smaller fish.
Also I am not sure of the minimum tank size but I adore my midas blenneys.
