i have a question guys......................

i have my first anemone whats the easiest and best way to food them, they need direct feeding well mine does atleast, i fed mine with the frozen piece still together an it grabbed it. do u guys have any inventions or small things u use and will the frozen stuff hurt it

not still frozen, he'll get tummy cramps lol, silversides, a piece of prawn, very very small pieces maybe 2 times a week, maybe more with your lights, i sometimes use a big horse syringe with thawed out mysis and give them a squirt

They will grab onto any meat mixture you can buy at your lfs. I use tongs or squirt some on mine with a turkey baster once or twice a week

i agree, make sure its fully thawed. I feed mysis, krill and silversides and rotate

good tip blue, just be careful with the tongs i have read that they can do damage to anemones.
I know i shouldnt but i feed my carpet with my hands and place the food on the disc away from the mouth!

Thawed mysis, I use a kitchen baster and give a little squirt of the mysis.

I feed my RBTA's silverside. I reach in and put a piece in their tentacles and wiggle it a little bit until they grab ahold of it. I have to keep a close eye on the fish and shrimp though because they'll steal it from the anemone.

When I was in Minneapolis yesterday I was talking to a FS worker about nems and what to feed. He was telling me that some big shot marine biologist (not Sprung, but someone along those lines) was advocating that nems should never be fed anything bigger than mysis shrimp.
