Just a video of my yellow watchman

I'm always taking videos and pics of my tank just for fun and I got a kick out of this video of my yellow watchman. I guess he figured if he held very still I wouldn't notice him and when that didn't work...

Our Grouper is lightning fast too. He always gets the first silverside. All the other fish look like they're in slow motion compared to Streak when it comes to feeding time.

Re: Just a video of my yellow watchman

Yeah, he's super fast. Fun little fish to have in the tank. They have so much character. I'd love to get a pistol shrimp for him but I worry about rock slides. Oh well, he's fun all by himself.

Re: Just a video of my yellow watchman

I wish mine would stay out like that. He is always hiding.
Of course it is just him and a mandarin in a 90g tank so it is easy for him to get lost in there.

I have never seen one in "person" but your video has me considering one. Maybe for my Nano. Does he do alot of burrowing?

Re: Just a video of my yellow watchman

I'd get one if I were you Michael...I have one in my 50 and what a character ! He comes out from the cave when he sees me and comes right up to the front of the glass. I sit in a chair in front of the tank and he just sits there an watches back. If I go down low...he pokes his head up so he can see me...lol.

That's just weird....playing games with a fish !

Re: Just a video of my yellow watchman

Do they need a really deep sandbed. I was wanting to go bare bottom, but I dont guess one would like that too much.

My yellow watchman doesn't burrow at all. He just sits in the front of the tank watching everything. He is pretty small so it's possible that he'll dig later in life but for now he doesn't. If you pair them with pistol shrimp the shrimp will dig but the watchman just watches over the shrimp then too. Anyone else know if they dig? My has just begun sifting the sand VERY slowly since he's so small and the argonite barely fits through his gills.
