Does the cort jester goby eat pods?

will the court jester goby, beat up my firefish?

I doubt it will pick on the firefish. I have no doubt it will eat pods also. Quite a nice fish.

Bob how is your tank covered? I had firefish in a peaceful 55 and they both found the tiniest hole to jump out of. Really sucked. In their defense they were added last to the tank which was pry a bad move on my part

my tank is completly open topped, with the light 5' off the rim.

hes fine.

hes been in there for more than a year.

heres a lil secret.

if fire fish get scared, they wanna HIDE. i got so much LR crammed in my tank, hes got like more foxholes than he knows what to do with.

i think hes fine.

plus, thats the least of his worries

A lot of these fish like the firefish and BSJF won't jump out of a tank once they know there surroundings. That is the issue when people first add them and they jump. I bet Scott's Dotty won't jump now that it is comfortable.

I think mine probably jumped bc of his tankmates, since they were introduced last. I had about 120lbs LR in a 55... from that point on I seal my tanks just to be careful

I wouldn't suggest the scooter dragonnet since they eat almost exclusively from the substrate. I would suggest a juvenile Yellow Coris Wrasse which is very reasonably priced or the Court Jester Goby.
