Hybrid tang

Some more cool fish......... Hybrid yellow scopas tangs. I'm gonna keep the little guy. My husband really wants to keep the larger one too but since he hasn't found a money tree yet its not gonna happen. lol

I had to gently hold the larger guy in order to get a clear shot cause he was freaked out in the clear box. They're both settled into one of my prop tanks and eating. The little one really looked like a yellow tang until his eye changed to the scopas eye.

Some cute a. xanthurus clowns.

Re: Hybrid tang

No its just two. The first two shots are of the same fish. You see how his eye changed once he calmed down a bit? The larger one has a little more brown in him when he's calm that you can't see in the pic. Live aquaria is selling one for $130 I think.

I don't usually sell fish, but today they had some cool stuff that I thot was worth it. I usually only sell the ocassional rare mated clowns cause they easy to keep.

Even with super clean systems you will lose a lot of fish if you try to sell all kinds of fish regularly. A year into the biz I tried selling fish and it just wasn't worth it. I don't like losing stuff and fish aren't nearly as profitable as corals.

Re: Hybrid tang

Dentoid actually when you hold them like that they kind of freeze up, makes them very easy to transport from one tank to another. Catching my christmas wrasses today was another story, they're so slippery.

Re: Hybrid tang

Yeah I'm good like that I guess. My husband even brags about it to his friends. hehe

When we shut down our 180 last year, I caught all 32+ fish with my hands. That way they don't get hurt. Of course I discovered the trick is to turn your lights on about 3-4 hrs after they've been off. The fish stay asleep and its like taking candy from a baby. lol

Re: Hybrid tang

Nope, it was one of those "let's catch my fish at 2am" things. lol I think I'd even had a few beers. ;p

So I have a question. Do you guys notice my updates when I post them in my forum? On clubzoa it shows how many people have viewed the post but I don't think it does here and I was wondering.

did you become a vendor?
as a vendor you get your own forum page.
also keep in mind that if you arent a vendor yet, you are bending the rules by posting fish for sale.

Re: Hybrid tang

Ahhha!!! I've been a vendor for two months now. lol I meant within my own vendor forum do you think my updates are noticed? Because I have no way to tell how many people have looked.

Hopefully I'm not bothering anyone by posting these fish as a vendor.

Your'e a sponsor... why would it bother anyone?

It's nice to see sponsors participating...
