Help ID my new flasher wrasse please

I just picked up this male flasher wrasse today at the LFS and the guy who helped me seemed to be a big fan of wrasses and said he has a number of them in his 120. He called the one I got today a Ruby Flasher Wrasse. I googled it and couldn't find any reference to a Ruby Flasher. I also couldn't find it in the Scott W. Michael fish guides. The closest match I could find was the Filamented Flasher pictured here but it's not quite the right coloration unless there's a fairly significant variation within the species (or perhaps the one from the link is flashing). Anyway, here are some photos of the one I picked up today. Anyone have an idea what it is?
Thanks,
Justin

I actually have a Carpenter's flasher wrasse juvenile also and they don't seem to be similar in appearance. I suppose it could be a color variation within the species but I'd guess not. Unless, perhaps I've misI.D.ed what I thought to be a carpenter's flasher.
Thank you for your input, I need all the ideas I can get. I really have no idea what the red one is.

Here are the two side by side

And here's a better shot of what I believe to be the Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse in the center of the photo

Re: Help ID my new flasher wrasse please

Thanks everyone for helping me ID this guy. I'm amazed at how difficult it can be to ID a fish but I suppose many of the fish in this genus do look somewhat similar and to make matters worse, they are often photographed when they are flashing and therefore displaying different colors and more prominent markings so it's hard to compare my new wrasse to those photos.

So far I think I'm with you Prow, I found this image of a filamented flasher and it sure does look like mine. What do you all think? Is this a "positive" ID?

Filamented Flasher Wrasse photo - clippo photos at pbase.com

And here's my wrasse again for a close comparison

Thanks Frankie, and thanks everyone who helped me ID this guy. It's always good to know what one has in their own tank.

Re: Help ID my new flasher wrasse please

After further review, the light cororation between the belly and the anal fin and pronounced dorsal spines indicatates a Filamentosis or hybrid thereof. No matter what the exact ID is it is a very beautiful specimen.

Re: Help ID my new flasher wrasse please

i must correct my self. by looking at the tail i think its a filamented wrasse (Paracheilinus lineopunctatus) not the filamented wrasse (Paracheilinus cyaneus). my bad..but hey chances are pretty good you have the exact ID now. give credit to witfull on that one, i got the tail difference thing via this link Flasher Wrasses: Recently Recognized in the Hobby by Hiroyuki Tanaka, MD - Reefkeeping.com provided by witfull

Re: Help ID my new flasher wrasse please

The (Paracheilinus lineopunctatus) doesn't have any color break between the belly and the long anal fin in any of the pictures I looked at, but after looking at the tail structure I agrre it is not a filamentosis, but may be a juvenile or hybrid. Good work Gary!

Tail and dorsal fins are a match, coloration is a little off from the adult pictures.
