New Chevron Tang

Wife bought this as an early Christmas gift for herself to replace her Atlantic Tang we unfortunately lost after 2 yrs. We think it jumped and became a victim to our dogs as it disappeared in a matter of hours. It ate like a pig eating everything you gave it, took food from your hand and was healthy as could be. It will be missed as it was a very nice addition to our tank.
Wife was able to get this Chevron at $25 off (sale) and then stacked a 20% coupon on top of that somehow In the end she paid about 78.00 for him
She may not help maintain the tanks maintenance/cleaning wise but she can sure find some great items for it.

Heres the new addition in our large tank after 4 weeks in QT. Paired up with our sixline and they spend most of the day cruising the tank together.Strange pair indeed to see together.

Re: New Chevron Tang

Thanks guys. We always liked them but the cost was up there. She was getting me some frozen Mysis and Brine shrimp with the sale and found him as a new arrival at the store. With the sale discount and coupon it was too good of a deal to pass up and our tanks inhabitants so far was able to have him.

ninjataco777,
Like I posted in the 6 lines are evil thread our is a model tank mate. Gets along with all the stuff in there. My wifes Black clown female is the only thing he had a tussle with early on and now they avoid each other. Only time I see him try and act aggressive is when my dogs come near the tank and then the fins/spikes go all up and he swims back and forth against the glass till they move away again. Funny to watch, like he would of stood a chance in that fight

Re: New Chevron Tang

Thanks Doni!! Long time no see. You may remember the Atlantic Tang we had when you came over a few times. Sad loss as I think it was my favorite fish so hopefully this one will become another favorite. Hope all is well on your tank side..

Beautiful fish...

Cool that he hangs out with your sixline. My Yellow and Kole tangs have a similar relationship, where they spend most of the time foraging together.

Re: New Chevron Tang

Beautiful baby Chevron. Ours is one of our favorite fish. And such a pig he is. Ours eats anything and everything we feed the tank. Then slurps at the top of the water in case he missed something.
They stay beautiful even after losing their gorgeous juvinile colors.
Good choice for a tang. I have never seen ours get a bit agressive.
