Re: The Tang Club

Here's a picture of my three sons. Very hard to get a good picture i will work on getting a better one. The bottom one is a Jewel Tang i had in NY. He was the best fish i ever had. I guess im a bit of a tang nut. I have had many.

How big of a tank did you have him in Boomer? Great fish!!!
Don't ask...the tang police would be on me in a second...

BUT, that tank WAS just a temporary holding tank while I put my 180 together...once I decided NOT to start the 180
because of my back issues, I sold the fish to a friend with a 240. (who thought that MAYBE we weren't such good friends when the sohal started beating up his other prize tangs and eating his "uber-expensive" zoaanthids...
I told him that the fish was a "model citizen" in my tank, and not only didn't bother any other fish that I was aware of, but never nipped at any corals...Probably just adopted that Fresno "hood" attitude.

Re: The Tang Club

Boy does that ever sound like a Sohal. I think they are one of the prettiest of the Tangs but they can turn as mean as a rattlesnake. I'd love to have one but doubt that I ever will.

Re: The Tang Club

I LOVE achilles tangs. They are so pretty. I was just wondering, How difficult are they to keep. I have had many people tel me that they are hard to acclimate to Tank Life. But then again People said the same thing about my PBT, and he is doing awesome.
