| Midas Blenny | Large Angels Hey RS, Got a question for the Pro's...I have a 90 gallon tank and I'd like to know what Angels do well? I have 5 other fish in the tank...Lionfish...Yellow Tang, Pallette Tang, Picasso Trigger, and an Eible Angel and a Snowflake eel. Would adding a large Angel be a mistake?...Just a question. Thanks, Freddie

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Large Angels None of the large angels will do well long term in a 90, but most may do ok for a year or 2 if you get them small enough. My concern would be your bio-load. You already have a ton of fish in the tank, (probably much more than you should), and adding an angelfish will only make that worse. Some of the fish you have are considered messy eaters, and that can really drive up the bio-load and nitrates, especially since you most likely don't have much of a clean up crew in there with those predators.

| Midas Blenny | Re: Large Angels Hi Boomer, Thanks for the response. Sorry about getting back so late. I do have a small clean up crew, about 15 nessarus (sp?) snails and 20 hermit crabs. and I keep my skimmer turned up to help eliminate the waste as well as a bi weekly water change.

| Golden Moray | Re: Large Angels Freddie, I have to agree with Boomer. You've got your 90 stocked heavier than I've stocked my 110 and I consider my tank at max. With the exception of your dwarf angel and Yellow Tang, everything else is going to probably going to outgrow your tank. Your bioload is only going to get worse as the fish get larger. Based on what you have equipment wise and the clean up crew you list I would suggest you consider upgrading your skimmer and increasing your clean up crew when you can. You might want to look at an ASM G3 or comparable Octopus skimmer. My Octopus blows my coralife out of the water as far as skimmate production is concerned.
