Fish spawn question

I am relativly new but I read a lot in these files and it may take me a life time to read all of the notes but I will get there some day.
My question may be more of an observation, I was watching my tank like I do every day I stand there and am mesmerized ,,,

when I noticed some strainge behavior from my 3 strip Damsel. It looked like she was cleaning a spot on a mangrove stem. I get out the magnafing glass and take a closer look at the stem only to see what looks like hundreds of eggs.
Is it posioble that they could of spawned?
I do not belive I will get any to survive but I am trilled to know that it may of happened. That means I have happy (horny) fish...

I can take pictures but i am not sure i know how to get them on here. Heck i cant even put in a picture like every one else has under there name...

i should hang out in the Picture secton for a while maybe learn something.

Last night i watched for a long time and she is defending those eggs with all she has got. I understand that salt water fry are nothing like fresh water fry. Most likly i wont get any to live.. However if they do spowned once they will most likly spown again and i can be ready this time with a nano tank that i have and i may be able to raise some in there...?? maybe ??

its quite possible they are spawning, how big are the the fish?
