I have seen most of these pictures many times over. Frequently I find myself daydreaming in Robbie's web page. There are some new pictures here on this thread also that I have not seen before. It is trully amazing to see the quality of the photography and the absolute quality of the corals.

Most of Robbie's corals are very rare. Once the eye is set on his reef a journey of dreams gets started. Al least it is the case with me. Remarkable is the fact that I really dont exagerate what is in my heart.

I will always be a proud disciple of reefs like the one Robbie has. Reefs like his are at a total different level, on a class of its own. I just honestly feel so lucky to have discovered his field of dreams.

Man oh man!

What an unreal pleasure!

Rob,
I understand you use a Nikon 5700 no?
If so how do you get the super close ups of the sps corals?
Do you use an additional lense? If so what one?
I just got the 5700 and while Travis has brought me a long way from the POS Olympus
I want to take the super close macro shots.

Thanks for any info you have and please keep posting pics.
They are really inspiring
Also TG or Rob please put up the whole tank shot
People need to know what can be done in a 90G tank.
It’ll blow them away (those that haven’t seen it that is)

thanks for for the kudos guys!!!
sharks, im still using the nikon coolpix 990 and to be honest im not using any close up lens but the sl-1 coollight wich give more clarity and definition when taking close shots, also many of the corals are not too distant from the front glass of the tank wich is a good advantage to take a better more clear and define close shot. with the camera you have the 5700 is much much better than this camera for sure I havent got the opportunity to check it oput but from what I read and see is great camera
