Send an e-card using our photo gallery!

I didn't even know this feature existed until I was configuring the gallery software...and I think it's pretty cool!

To send an ecard using one of the photo gallery pics, first go >>HERE<< to the photo gallery.

Then, click on an image you like. Scroll down just below the main image, and you'll see the e-card option, like this:

Now, add your text, select background, border and text colors, then you can preview the card and send it!

The recipient will receive a notification email, with a link to their ecard.

Here's a sample card I sent to myself, using a beautiful image taken by Tankgirl.

That's it, enjoy!!!

hey trav, will this spam our email? i know thats how some companies do it,,,they get the sending and recieving email addy and sell it to make $$.

I sent one to RL last week and haven't gotten any spam. I'm guessing Photopost wouldn't stay in business for long if they did. It looks to me like it's all contained in the photo gallery software, it just creates an image and sends a link to the email address you entered.

I'll post a question in the Photopost support forums just to be sure.

Since the card is hosted on ReefSantuary, there really is no chance of SPAM. It is ReefSanctuary's mailserver that is used etc...

My question, is what if they are not a registered user? Right now the gallery is set to let anyone view, I logged out and it still let me look at the pic and the card. Should bandwidth become an issue and you close the gallery to non registered users...will this also effect whether the person your sending a card to can view it?

RR, I changed the setting so only registered could view, logged out, and I could still view the photo.
