Re: forum crashing my browser

I cannot get onto this site from my computer at work or my laptop at home. It freezes on the home page and you have to end the program through task manager to get out of it. My other computer at home works fine. The ones that don't, I have to go to google and type in the site to go straight to a forums page to get in. I basically have to bypass the home page. Every once and a while it will lock up on another page once I am in but it is rare.

Re: forum crashing my browser

I am the stupidist when it comes to PCs but I have never had any problems with IE and getting on here and pics always open pretty quick. I don' tknow if it makes a difference that I use cable connection. I am sure it does compared to dial-up. I delete my internet files every day and use Trend PC-cillin for virus control and it seems to work well.

Re: forum crashing my browser

I have the same internet at work as home (cable) and it still locks on the homepage from work....I can go to any other site on the net, and RS is the only one that locks IE..

Re: forum crashing my browser

I too was experiencing problems with this site for the last week or two. Only on the last couple days has it stopped. I was having the same problems as others are describing: browser was locking up on the homepage (this site only), many times I had to restart my computer because it would "lock-up". I run multiple spyware, adware, virus programs daily, so no issues there.

Re: forum crashing my browser

Same problem here. Today for the first time the RS home page froze up my IE and I had to 'Ctrl Alt Del" to end IE. I tried a few times, same thing. RS is the only place this happens to me. Firefox seems to work.

Re: forum crashing my browser

I don't have problems with the site locking me up, but I get far too many "Internet Explorer can't find the site" errors when I try to open threads from the home page...that gets pretty annoying.
