Fish for beginners

Working on something I think could be a very helpful article on ReefPedia. If you have any suggestions of fish for beginners and why, please take a moment to add them here

Fish For Beginners

Or you can reply to this thread and I'll paste them in there.

TIA!!

Travis

Re: Fish for beginners

Cardinal Fish:

A popular fish for non-aggressive or reef tanks. The Cardinals enjoy having lots of cliffs and overhangs to feel secure in their surroundings. Many hobbiest have been successful in breeding them in captivity.

Re: Fish for beginners

well for sixline wrasses...well wrasses in general you may also want to tell the reader that they don't ship well so you may want to wait a few days after they got em in before you buy them.

Re: Fish for beginners

Found some great information in the new 2006 ANNUAL "Marine Fish and Reef" Magazine. I recomend it as a must read, page 88 has a great article on Wrasses and page 22 has an article on the sybiosis between cleaner animals and their clients. Its at Pet Smart and only comes out annually. Here is a link to the discription on what is in the Magazine:
