Take another look

In case you guys haven't been to ReefPedia lately, it is really shaping up to be one hell of a source of information. I'm really proud and thankful to all who pitched in so far... take a look today and see how far this has come in a month. And imagine where this will be in a year with your help.

Some examples:

Acanthastrea

Tangs

Zoanthus (A truly excellent group effort!)

Echinophyllia

Flame Angel

Tomato Clownfish

Those are a bunch of examples of informative, interesting and helpful species profiles... there are now articles for beginners, articles on filtration and inverts, etc... you'd be missing a lot by not browsing around.

I'm still really, really excited about this project (if you couldn't tell) and thanks to so many of you who have pitched in a little knowledge here and there, or a full article in many cases.

Re: Take another look

I just added the first peice of info on Potter's angels here.

That was the first time I've ever done anything like that, and it was really easy. When I get more time, I'll definately add more!

Sorry I don't have pics BTW, getting a decent pic of my angel would be asking too much of my $200 camera

Re: Take another look

Ok, this is kind of a dumb question, but I added the info before creating an account, is there a way to move it over, so that I can keep track of it?

Very nice FidoJoe, Karma and thanks to you!

Best way to track the page now is to make a small edit to the page logged-in.

Re: Take another look

Thanks Craig!

We could use all kinds of articles, from fish and coral profiles to plumbing, DIY, propagation and chemistry stuff.

But here are a few more common species that we could definitely use profiles for:

Anthias - any of 'em!

Yellow Tang

Sailfin Tang

And we're just starting to crack the surface on the invert profiles but I made an EZ template so it should be very easy to make a profile from a page that doesn't exist.

Reef invertebrates

Any help would be much, much, much appreciated!!!

Re: Take another look

I added some stuff to the yellow tang.

As with the potter's angel, I will leave the pics up to the pros.

Added The Sailfin Tang. Travis can you edit my photo syntax so the pictures show please? What do we do with "Current Views"? Stumped!

Re: Take another look

Thx craig and Fidojoe!

Craig, I can fix the photo syntax but we can't pull photos from another site without permission- bad netiquette.

Good news is, I've got plenty o sailfin pics.

edit: Oh- and don't worry about "current views" or any other section that has ya stumped... the idea was for it to be a sort of catch-all summary of the fish.

Thanks again!
