| Fire Coral ![]() | This is quite funny. I posted this as a joke. on another site (nameless) I found that everyday there was two or three posts from people that wanted ID of Aptasia. It drove me nuts. No one would open a book of Search the site for previous posts. Some times there would be three post on the main page all about Aptasia ID. I know a lot of new people join forums all the time and if they are new to reefing a strange hitch-hiker would warrant a post. But I assumed all who joined here in the pre-opening days would get my joke. J |

| Tunicate | Re: This is Aptasia I had an apastasia. Don't try to take them out your self. They will break in to more and they sting the coral. [Looks like my 9 y.o. daughter got in here on my screen name. The little rascal. Her screen name is Splendid.] Last edited by Malibureefer : 03-18-2006 at 12:26 AM. |

Our tank is 110 gallons, and I don't know all the details, but we have two blue lights and two white ones (actinides ?). I am thinking about upgrading to halides so we can have some hard (stony?) coral. But that will require a chiller as well, and maybe we should start off slowly. We just finished cycling about two weeks ago. We have several coral, including zooz and some green mushrooms, and six fish right now, including a yellow tang, an angel, a dart fish, and two wrasse including one that looks like a mandarin. I think my daughter has listed them. We've also got some sea snails, a hitchhiker bristle worm, what looks like some kind of hitchhiker slug that crawls up the glass, and I hope no aiptasia. My oldest nephew started the Reef Protection Institute in San Frnacisco, and I fell into this hobby completely separate from that. In fact, I'm not even sure he knows that I have a reef tank yet. But it will be only environmentally safe and friendly animals for us. This seems like a nice board. I post on another board for BMWs and we have a lot of fun there talking about cars and then getting together and seeing them. Here I suspect it's all in the pictures. | |
