help with this thing?

ok guys i dont have a pics but as ya know im having hatching going on alot from my LR and the newist thing i found when i turned the lights on in the tank was........BEATS ME...thats why im posting

it moved super fast,it kinda looked like a mantis shrimp,it was mayve 1/2 an inch long,it had horizontal stripes,one dark color and one briter color,moved so fast it was a bit hard to tell i was half asleep

and get this,it dug into the sand so wala and poof,gone for the day....what is he?...yea yea i know no pic lol

I'd guess maybe a pistol shrimp? They like sand and can move very fast. Impossible to know for sure though w/o a pic.

it didnt look like it had claws but again it was small,baby i suppose
