| Midas Blenny | Can anyone tell me what this pink things are?? What are these beautiful pink things on my rock? They are growing mostly in shaded areas, multiplying slowly. They are very hard prickly structure. Should I feed them anything? Are they harmful to any of the intended tank residents? If anyone can give me advice on them, I appreciate it very much ![]()

| Acropora | Re: Can anyone tell me what this pink things are?? I have some of those in my tank. Don't know if they are an algae or sponge or something else. As far as I can tell they don't hurt anything and you don't need to feed them anything. No special care required. They'll just grow on their own and look pretty.

| Midas Blenny | Re: Can anyone tell me what this pink things are?? Hi everyone, thank you so much for the quick replies! Are these foraminiferans common? Should I keep them? So far the only possible harm I can foresee is fish swimming next to them and getting scratched... They are pretty sharp to the touch! ![]()

| Midas Blenny | Re: Can anyone tell me what this pink things are?? No I mix my own water from home RO/DI and Instant Ocean, Reef Crystals, or Seachem Reef Salt. No particular strict mix of either salts but held at 1.023-025. I had used Red Sea Coral Pro salt as well, and liked it too, but started to use more bottled dosing of trace lately and use Instant Ocean more and more.
