what kind of algae is this

i am assumingIMG00031-20090106-1238.jpg this is algae i have never seen anything like it
i have lots of it
can any one id it?
(not the purple Coraline)i am talking about the blue algae

I've never seen blue algae before. Possibly a type of encrusting sponge? Any chance you could get a clearer pic?

You're not going to get a positive ID without a better pic. I doesn't necessarily need to be "bigger" - just clearer - to show more detail.

Here's a pic of some blue sponge. Does it look like this?
