Question ID Please

Hi everyone i bought some snails of Ebay and all it said there were for marine tank and they are reef safe.
Could any body tell me the name of them.

sarah may be a Stomatella Varia type. They are reef safe herbivores and will consume brown diatoms and readily reproduce. That is my guess!

They appear to be a "margarite" snail to me too.
If so, you'll want to keep cooler temperatures in your tank as these snails are from a colder climate (Southern California coastline). They generally don't fair all that well in a tropical environment as many of our reeftanks are.

Hi everyone, thanks for the links you gave me. I have found that they are called Margarite snails and they do not do good in reef tanks because they come from cooler waters and they will perish in a reef. I want be byeing any more.
