AM I BLIND THEN? #2 looks like a perfect match in my eyes, I have 20/20, even the body on #1 has what looks like a star on it....the others do not...whatever who cares, we all know google is just dandy...

#1 and the OP's urchin have that star. #2 you cant see as well but you can kind of make out the star.

edit. the color of #1 makes the star more pronounced.

Daniel you are not listenting, 1 & 2 are the SAME speices.....ssh. I don't care what you see or don't see. I do not use JUST google's I have startfish/urchin ID books also.

how bout the two of you take this private huh???

im saying Arbacia punctulata because of the base characteristics (spine size, overall shape). colors vary in nature.

wow you guys are good... some hard core debating goin on in here you 2 are deff the master-de-baters

They deff roam the tank like crazy and they will like the size of a chocolate chip when I first saw them! there was 1 now there is at least 5 or 6
