Cool Debby! It looks like a species of Sea Pen!

Re: Help Id

Looks like a coral eating nudibranch to me. Sea pens don't normally move around, unless taken by the current.

Have there been any recent additions of new corals?

That could also be why the one is on that dying gonipora coral.

Re: Help Id

I can't be sure what it is, but that is what it looks like. It's probably a hitch hiker that came on some rock. Is any part of it in the sand? If that is what it is, it is not harmful. They are reported to be difficult to feed.

Re: Help Id

Matt, I couldn't really tell by the photo that's why I asked about part of it being in the sand. It looks flat in the photo.

Re: Help Id

Did you dip or treat the new corals before adding them to the tank?

Scott, I have attempted to keep sea pens before and never had them crawl on the glass. Her description of that is what led me to think nudibranch. I will admit, those pics are a little bit rough for a positive ID.

Re: Help Id

Definitely a nudibranch. I'd remove them as soon as you can.

Re: Help Id

If it's moving that fast, it is definitely a nudi. I would consider removing it.
