Please Help Weird looking white bugs

I have just started a new marine tank.... its been about 5 weeks now!

After placing in my live rock... i noticed these little white bugs that look like fleas, really small, tiny.... somewhat like sperm, excpet with tails at both ends. They have two tails/antenas at the top and two at the bottom! Thats the best way to explain them i think. Anyway.... there were just afew at the start but now there are HEAPS of them.... crawling all over my glass. they are really quick and walk around really fast.

Does anyone know what they are? and how i might go about getting rid of them if they are bad?

Please Help ASAP

It's ok, they are most likely just copepods. They are good!! A lot of people (like myself) wish we had copepods. It is an easy food for your fish. When your tank is ready for fish...your fish will eat them right up !

OH NO! I got BUGS!

These are GOOD bugs. I remember the first time I saw them in one of my tanks...(before we had the resource of the intarwebs...I FREAKED OUT!!
Then, in one of my old saltwater books, I found mention of copepods and amphipods, how they were GOOD things, and I relaxed and went on with the biz of enjoying my tank...
They are a sign of a relatively healthy maturing tank.

Re: Please Help Weird looking white bugs

As long as they don't have Really big black eyes on them.
Then in that case google Isopod. Bad bugs.
But other than that enjoy the "yummy?" pods. lol

don't eat them. Let the fish eat them.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
