Bugs... What type of pod?

Sorry for the lack of photos. My STBX has the camera.

I am getting ready to load rock into my tank tonight. In the meantime I have seen some grayish or offwhite smallish pods approx 1/8 inch long crawling (scurrying pretty quckly) out of and into holes on some rocks in my LR holding tank. My hermits seem pretty enamored of them. I will see several hermits hanging around at holes in rocks waiting for a snack.

I am assuming that, at 2-3 millimeters, and crawling on the rock, these are amphipods rather than copepods.

Is there anything I need to do before I move these guys into the tank? I assume that they are not harmful but I have seen notes about parasitic pods.

Odds are they are not harmful but regardless you don't want to "Handle" the rock with your bare hands. There could easily be "Bristle Worms", Fire Worms or more hiding in those holes. don't risk it.... wear gloves

Could be. Could be isopods. My eyes aren't that good. quick on their feet so not copes. Anyway, they're in my tank now, so I'll never get 'em out!
