| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: copepods They will reproduce until the fish eat them all up. That is one of the reasons a fuge it a great thing to have. It gives you a place where copepods and other beneficial critters can reproduce without anything preying on them. Even with the fish eating them you are likely to keep some and they will reproduce just much more if you have a fuge.

| Has been struck by the ban stick | Re: copepods those circle spots that look like eggs: if you have snails, especially cerith, they lay eggs A LOT, i get those clusters at least twice a week from my cerith snails....if no snails...then they must be tiny little hard tube feather dusters. |

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: copepods They look like pods to me. You can find pods anywhere. They are often on the sand and rocks but certainly can be on the glass. When I don't clean my glass frequently enough there are "kiss" marks in the algae to show where my fish have nabbed the pods on the glass. I see them everywhere in my fuge.

| Tubeworm | Re: copepods Hello Travis Although I don't have a fuge, I've had a mandarin for 2.5 years. Saw one in the lfs while I was deciding to go salt. Did the research to learn what was needed for their care. I have 130lbs of live rock in my 90gal and the rock and sand is crawling with the critters. I keep a small flashlight with weak batteries just to see whats going on in the dark. Amazing whats moving around in there after lights out. Added the mandarin 1.5 years after seeing the one in the lfs. ![]()
