Can any one ID this big guy????

This guy came with my live sand I sold it a couple of weeks ago but I just want to know what kind of snail it was. So far I have not had any luck tracking any info on it.

I am not an expert, but it might be a tulip snail.

If so, it is good you got rid of it.

The one in the second set of pics looks like a type of anemone. Does it move much? Look up aiptasia and majano anemones.

Re: Can any one ID this big guy????

I don't think its that. Let me explain a little more about what it looks like. Its white and almost clear on the bottom side of it and it has what looks like a polyp or black and white feather duster on its back. I hope this helps ID it.

Fancy slugs with hairdos are nudibranches.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Can any one ID this big guy????

from what i can see from the pic the one on the tank glass i would almost bet is a Nassarius snail with a feather duster growing on its shell, i have about twenty in my tank they help stir my substrate and usually only come up when i feed, but then again they do what ever they feel to.

Re: Can any one ID this big guy????

Rick got it right... assuming your sand came from Florida, Gulf of Merxico, or the Caribbean, the species is Fasciolaria tulipa.

As for the other guy... any pictures with more detail?
