what the heck is it?

I saw this thing a few weeks ago and it reappeared again today. It is under my coral frag and looks like it is trying to eat it. It is a long tube with one end in the rocks about 1" in legth and the other end looks like a mini zoo. Should I remove it the next time i see it?

Re: what the heck is it?

I'm not sure what it is, but it looks kinda like a leach.

I had something like that latch on to one of my fish about 8 years ago. Never did find out what it was.

Maybe someone will chime in here with an answer for ya.

Looks like a peanut worm - a harmless detritivore.

Re: what the heck is it?

Yeah, I took out one of my aquarium ref book and thought it might be a peanut worm from the pictures. Thanks for confirming.

How much you want to spend? You can't beat Nikon or Canon.

Re: what the heck is it?

I have a Canon Rebel XTI. I love it! I need a really nice macro lens though. I also need a really wide angle lens for my new tank.

You would not be disappointed with a Nikon D80 though.

Do you have any lens already that you would like to use on a new camera?
