ok need an id on this crazy bugger

so i was looking at my zoa's and they're right above the home of my goby in the rocks...well i see this worm thing moving around and im like and i saw it move and then i saw it extend...this thing instead of stretching just created more of its self from the inside and then i was like wtf this can't be happening but i got pics i couldn't get a vid because it was to small but heres the pics someone help please im hoping it won't hurt cuz this rock is a big part of the lower level support structure and it looks awesome...

and here it looks like he was trying to break apart rock im assuming for borrowing but the pic makes me think that it almost has a crown or some sort of feeding aparatus

Cool, you are the first person I "know" that actually has one.

Re: ok need an id on this crazy bugger

Here's a pic of my peanut worm.....I removed it from my tank because I've had some unexplained disappearances and it's the only thing in there that makes me suspicious. I found it hiding underneath the very rock where my goby and pistol shrimp "used" to have their burrow.

Yeah, I know....everything you read about them say's their harmless...probably so, but I needed to remove the possibility since I can't figure what else in there is eatin my fish.

Re: ok need an id on this crazy bugger

I just found the same thing in my tank last night after lights out. It was stretching just like the first pic in this post. From the head to where i couldn't see it anymore it was over 2 inches. How big these things get? My tank has been up and running little over 3 weeks. Setup with 100lbs LR and 80lbs LS.
