Do Jellys clean glass?

My wife noticed this clear jelly looking thing about 1/2 cm in length tracking along the back of our tank tonight. You can see track marks where he's gone up and down the glass cleaning it. While I couldn't see any tenticles, it reminded me a lot of this guy (Not actual photo, I know this photo is of a comb jelly) having two extensions off this butt:

What might it be? A Jelly? Sorry, but he is so small and transparent that I'm sure I can't get a photo. He does look like clear pflemn though, with shape....

Re: Do Jellys clean glass?

Could be a stomatella snail. They're somewhat clearish, come out at night and you can't see their shell.

Hard to say without a good photo of the actual animal involved.

Re: Do Jellys clean glass?

Hi
I also had a little clear jelly fish like thing in my sump. I was excited to find something new, then it got ID'd for me and it was a flatworm !!

check this link about 1/2 way down to see if he's the same critter:
FlatwrmFAQ3

Mine feeds on copepods, which I need to feed my mandrin so I remove them when I see them, but I'm told they don't really do any harm, I guess.

Thanks. This was the guy, listed as a flat worm on that site. It says they don't do much harm though, right?:

Flatworms
Amphiscolops

Now I've gotten rid of my gorilla crab, the comb jellys, the aptasia anemones. Tank is almost ready for corals.

I have ID them an number of times on other forums an NG. They can be a problem if the population density gets to high and interfere with corals. These typies of Comb Jellies are know as Platyctenean, coeloplanidids are often found on the surfaces of specific plants or animals. Many are Lyrocteis flavopallidus or simialr species.

*Disclaimer*
i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
