ID Please...

Any ideas? Just got started with my tank about a little over a month ago and have never seen this little guy before. Sorry about the crappy photo quality. Thanks in advance for any help....

Does it move around or is it stationary? I looks to be a sponge of some type.

Looks like sponge & Bubble Algae to me

It's a major pain!!! I've been trying to get it out a little at a time without breaking them, but I don't want to tear my whole aquascape down.

So the sponge is good and won't harm anything?

Yup sponge's aren't bad. They will actually help filter excess nutrients from your tank. As your nutrient levels drop you may notice the sponges disappear.

I may be wrong but i think its called a Q-tip sponge. Hope this helps i have about 15 of these on my LR in my 120.
