Found this growing on my new life rock wonder if i should get rid of it now if its a bad thing

I can not tell for sure but I am 90% sure that is an aiptasia. Do a google search for "aiptasia" to determine if yours is that. If so, it is bad, bad, bad! You should kill it asap; remove the rock and chisel it out, or inject it with Joe's Juice, or pack the hole it is in with 2 part epoxy to suffocate it.
