| Beautiful Katamari | Re: need an ID on this little guy please They and your crabs are not really picking at your zoantids. The rock the zoanthids came on has micro algaes on it and these pods and the crabs are just feasting off the algae. Once they clean the rock they wil move on.

| Padawan | Re: need an ID on this little guy please no scale to photo....so cant answer. dime,,,,pencil,,eraser...something to judge by~ i dont have the little bugger to scale it to size... :P... but it was about the size of an eraser in length, maybe a smidge more. looks like some kind of copepod, but size make me think its a amphipod. both are good, can you get a few other shots, maybe in some water and different angles? i can try, they are so fast though, and i never know where to expect them... i'll see if they are still hanging around on the plug. They and your crabs are not really picking at your zoantids. The rock the zoanthids came on has micro algaes on it and these pods and the crabs are just feasting off the algae. Once they clean the rock they wil move on. ok, thanks!, i was just worried because they havnt opened yet since i got them and didnt know if they would eat the little buds, this is what it looks like.. ![]()

| Beautiful Katamari | Re: need an ID on this little guy please How long have you had your zoas? They can take a couple of day to open after you first add them to your tank.

| Social Darwinism victim | Re: need an ID on this little guy please You could try a little phyto or cyclopeeze or soem sort of food, see if that gets a couple to poke their heads out... works for my brown ones.
