| Just Mike for short | Re: Large green worm Well, my big green worm got sucked to death. I found it in the Magnum power filter which is hooked-up as a closed loop. Not good, but since getting an ID on it I was a bit concerned having it in the tank. I wouldn't be so concerned with it being 10" right now, but my girl friend said she didn't want it in there if it got any bigger, so guess all worked out for the best. Just too bad I had a hand in its death. ![]() |

Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. | Just Mike for short | Re: Large green worm To anyone that cares...IT'S ALIVE! I thought it was dead. I had taken it out of the filter and placed it in a bucket I use to dump the water from the LRS bags when I get new corals. I was about to dump it when I noticed (this was after checking on it several times and seeing no movement) the worm streatched out and moving. I picked it up and it was moving its mouth so I dropped it back in the tank and it-slithered?- under some rocks. So if she sees it again, looks like there must have been a second one in there. Luckily she is into bird forums and not addicted to reefs yet, so I am safe for the time being. hehe. LONG LIVE GIANT GREEN WORMS! |

| Tunicate | Re: Large green worm Hello guys, I am new here. Just starting my first reef and found one of these creatures in there. I dont have any corals yet as I am waiting for the cycle to finish and slightly stabalize the tank before I get any live stock other than hermits and snails. Would this pose any threat to any fish/invertibrates/corals? Thanks, I had been trying to ID this for a few days now so finally found out what it is. Nim |
