Three unknowns to ID

First is this little thing that looks kind of like a spider web, but has the consistency of almost a dense cocoon of some sort, though it's not round. It also seems to be shrinking, and doesn't move.

Next up is this

Lastly, I know I've seen this ID in another thread but I couldn't remember what it was and what it was called.

Re: Three unknowns to ID

1st - Looks to be the mucus tube of any number of worm species, or it could be the fungal mats that form on decaying organics when die off occurs on such rock.

2nd - A sponge

3rd - Not sure what I am supposed to be seeing, but if you mean the little "sticks" standing up on the rock, that would be a type of algae. Most likely a filament species.

Re: Three unknowns to ID

1. harmless spongs
2. dictoyota algae...hard to get rid of, nothing eats it. manual removal is your only bet
3. no clue on the name, but it sure looks like some type of unwanted algae.
