I have gotten small crabs like that out using a 3/4" siphon tube. When lights are out, suck it out.

I just noticed in the picture it is looking at some zoas( think that is what they are in the picture?) They are zoanthid monsters

I looked again today and there was something on the sand bed, pretty much right under where that crab was hanging. I fished it out and it appeared to be the crab. I just can't tell if it's a dead crab or a molt. Smelled like a dead marine thing, but was pretty much hollow inside. If it eats my zoas there will be a reckoning. Well, my/Anselth's zoas.

Its most likely a xanthid species of which none are anywhere near the term "reef safe". I would say its "outta the pool!" for that one.
