| Tunicate | Unknown type of shrimp. Help! I just started a new salt water tank and saw this guy swimming about tonight. I have live rock from the FL Keys. I have captured him and placed in the sump. He looks like he has pinchers on the ends and the bend like a mantis. Any id's? thanks in advance. |

| Sea Pen | Re: Unknown type of shrimp. Help! To save you the search, it is a member of the Thalassinideans, which live in burrows of live rock and tend to be very secretive, yet are a very common find within live rock. I consider them to be harmless as I have seen them to only scavenge. Chuck
