Live Rock Hitchhiker

[IMG][/IMG]

Any idea what this organizim is? Its about the size of a dime (for the Europeans out there like myself about the size of a 0.5 euro). The picture was taken when the organizim was stuck on the aquarium wall. Is "base" is pinkis, transparent and its "top" is white with small round bumps.

Thanks in advance

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Live Rock Hitchhiker

I'm suspecting that to be one of the "mini-carpet anemones, Stichodactyla tapetum.

Scroll down to see some good pics of healthy specimens.

Thanks everyone.

I forgot to mention that the one pictured above is the first one I saw. About 12 days later I saw 2 more but were much smaller

Re: Live Rock Hitchhiker

You might be correct. My setup is some ligth (not direct) from a window in the room and the tend to be near the most lit part of the aquaium. They are quite mobile.
