Re: Some kinda SPS?

I take it you are asking about the magenta growths? They look like some sort of macro algae. Are they hard or soft?

Re: Some kinda SPS?

No, magenta is the color I was describing. I thought they were some kind of macro algae based solely on their color and form. I have no clinical bases.

Re: Some kinda SPS?

I have the same things in two of my tanks. I came in on some LR and coral. But it never really grows. IDK what it is.

Re: Some kinda SPS?

I have something that looks similar to that (or it USED to). started out as mere "magenta" pimples and continued to grow and now it looks like a Tree with grape like projections. Mine is some type of Macro Algae and it looks really cool.

Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Re: Some kinda SPS?

I have the same thing growing in my tank as Al describes. That is why I suggested macro algae. I don't know what you have Kyle.

Re: Some kinda SPS?

It is a different kind of coralline algae. It comes in different styles and colors. Most coat the rocks, some grow in plates horizontally and some branch out like those. I have some growing in my tank as well.
Enjoy
