Welcome aboard Ralph! Looks like a brittle star. Typically, they stay under rocks and you'll see them sticking their arms out searching for food. They also come out at night, after lights out, looking for food. The higher resolution picture would help in the ID.

If you're talking about the animal circled in red:

Then that's most likely a spaghetti or medusa worm. There are a couple other things it could be, but none are harmful...enjoy the diversity.

I have hundreds of spaghetti worms in all of my tanks. They mainly come out at night, I think that they just eat detrius or similar material.

Worms. I only have 1 in my tank and it just seems to pull sand together into a mound. I assume that is so it can eat. Nothing else has dissappeared into the vortex.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. They come out routinely during the day. They are not limited to just the night...

Re: please help id this creature!!!

those appear to be hair worms, AKA cirratulid polychaete. But its hard to say for sure without seeing the entire animal.

Re: please help id this creature!!!

I have several of those in my tank there called cirratulids. There reef safe and are good scavengers. Mine mound all the bigger pieces of sand around them I assume its for protection and they use the tentacles to gather food. Here is a link to a ID page with alittle info on them. BTW its the fifth section on types of worms going down.Worm Hitch Hikers
