Unidentified Slug!

I discovered this slug on the front glass the other night after lights out.
I was 3" long and 3/4 inches wide. It's boarder was finely serrated or had setae. The picture is of the ventral side. The dorsal side was light tan with darker tan bands that ran widthwise. There were 3 circles at the head end on the dorsal side. One was orange, one was brown and one was black. It did not like the flashlight. It was slow moving. Any ideas!

Here is a close-up of its mouth area.

Isn't the ocean magnificent!

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Unidentified Slug!

that is the ventral side. I suspect it's a Cryptoplax chiton.

Re: Unidentified Slug!

Thanks Leslie! From your post I was able to research Chitons and found this picture that shows exactly what the dorsal surface looked like on the one in my tank. That's a positive ID!
