| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Branchy item on LR . . I have had this piece of LR for a few weeks now and it's actually been at the LFS for almost EVER! Just something he had in one of his older tanks. It happened to be a size and shape I wanted and I talked him out of it. I glued a frag of "green star polyp" (or so I was told) to it. Then a week ago I noticed this little occasional "branchy" thing on it. It's only there every now and again. See attached pic and see if anyone knows what it is and WHAT it's all about.. Allen ![]()

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Branchy item on LR . . I'll keep looking and try for a better pic. Only thing is I never know which day it's going to come out. Sometimes once a week and sometimes not!! It's kinda cool looking when it does though!! Thanks, Allen

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | *Update* It only comes out now and again and I have tried and can't get a closer more clear shot of it. The angle and distance from the front glass is holding me back. but I HAVE watched it extensively and it's a WILD thing to see. It pulls it's "arms" in one or two at a time sort of in a curling fashion. Then it uncurls them and curls up another one or two. It does this for maybe an hour or so and then it completely withdraws back into the rock itself. It does it usually when the lights are ON (but I don't spend hours watching it with the lights off) so I don't think it's nocturnal. Any additional ideas? It hasn't bitten me "yet". Allen
