red feather or anemone... cant tell

this guys has jsut shown up on one of my pieces of live rock. hes about 1/4 inch when opened up. hes red with a tinge of brown. for some reason i think coco worm?

Does it take or grab at food like an anemone would. Does the food particles "stick" to the tentacles like anemone?

ive observed it, but it is tucked under my little rock cave in a difficult position to photograph or mess with. i will watch it for its feeding behavior to help determine what it is.

I would bet money it's not a coco worm. I'm not an expert though. I'm attaching a pic of the coco worm we had.

Ya doesnt look like a coco to me either.... does it whip back in it tube quickly?
Looks more like a polyp of some sort

sounds like you work at a hotel... iused to do night audit at a hotel. i spent about and hour doing the math and the rest was for whatever i wanted. i started playing old NES games... i beat a lot of games from my childhood lol

he isnt frilly looking like that. the tentacles are more anemone like. i cant really make out much more detail that is in the photos because he is in a very difficult spot to observe.

im thinking its an anemone though because it appears to have a mouth in the middle of its disc. any ideas what a red anemone like that may be? BLOOD APTASIA! ITS A VAMPIRE!
