| Elegance coral | orange algae ID I've been seeing some algae forming on a coupe of rocks lately..its actually pretty cool looking . Bright orange with darker maroon(normal red algae color) outlining the actual plant very colorful ..i plan on keeping them .. was just wondering if someone knew some info on them..thanks ![]() ![]()

Fish - Foxface, Yellow Tang, Mimic Tang, 2 Tomato Clowns, pair True Percula Clowns (and their 6 inch pastel green carpet), Mandarin, Scooter Blenny, Bartlett's Anthias, Royal Gramma, Pseudochromis Splendens. Blue/Gold Crocea Clam, Teardrop Squamosa Clam Coral favorites include: 2 Acanastreas, Pink Cynaria, Green Cynaria, Birdsnest, Trumpets, Red and Pink and Green Goniporas (3), Frogspawn (peach favorite), Fox Coral, Diploastrea, Blasto, 3 Fungia (orange, purple, and green) and many others. |

| Elegance coral | Re: orange algae ID no , its def an algae i have a couple sponges in my tank BOOMER>>>>>where art tho?? hahaha thats cool that it unique..i guess...maybe thats a bad thing.. IMO (which is not a very experienced one) i think it is some type of algae, but i would like to learn somemore about this beautiful organizim in my tank thanks everyone for the replies.

| Elegance coral | Re: orange algae ID that looks similar but i dont think that is it.... one of my LFS sells that stuff in the first pic ive tried it but it doesnt like to grow in my tank.. the stuff i have has bright orange with red on the outskirts thanks jfk for trying ![]()

| Fire Coral | Re: orange algae ID Its the same thing that is growing in my tank. It started of orange/gold and has turned bright red. I have had to cut it every other week now. see thread below. (its the second pic) My tank 11 months old what are these? I would also like to know what it is. It looks great though whatever it is. Craig
