Re: my new nanocube

in my opinion yes. i would stick with a 100 watter just because the 200 watt one might heat the water two quickly and make hot spots

Re: my new nanocube

quick update for you, and i think some good news. tank is doing great, mushrooms are getting huge, xenia has made me 3 babies that went to a friend that helped me out with live rock.

i was happily surprised to find a starfish of some sort crawling around on my rock last night while hunting bristleworms.. not sure what kind it is, it was about the size of a dime and had a circlular middle with hairy legs. in the center there was a star design.

oh well i'll post a pic or two tomorrow

Re: my new nanocube

The small water volume is causing the cycle to be longer than usual, I suspect, try changing 10-20% water every 5-6 days might help...

Re: my new nanocube

well, my beatiful Gorg. has finally met its demise after trying so hard to keep it happy, i think my hermit may have had something to do with it but it was mostly my fault...
it was doing great on dt's phyto, but was knocked over more than once and i think each time it fell it killed some, but 4 days after epoxing it in place it was nothing but sticks

on the good side i plan on picking up a peppermint shrimp and maybe a less diffucult coral this week

Re: my new nanocube

if the gorg was sps, (i'm not sure, couldn't tell from the pic) you may not have had enough light going there to keep it happy. falling doesn't help, but i don't know if that would kill it.

also, if you have a leather coral in there, it might attack any sps you put in.
