300gal. Tenecor project

I got this thing a few months ago and have never set it up. Unfortunately, it wont fit into my basement, without me ripping out like a 6' section of a wall and then rebuilding it.

Originally, I was looking at getting $1500 for it as that's considerably less than what I paid, but now I just want to get rid of the damned thing. Every time I look at it, it just pisses me off cause I cant use it. lol!

It's acrylic and measures 96" x 24" x 31"...3/4" sides, front and back and 1/2" thick bottom and top. Dual, built in megaflows, each drilled for 2 returns each.

I'm in Chicago. I dont know how many of you are near me.

I'll let it go for $1000 OBO.

PM me or email me.

Thanks,

Andy

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Re: 300gal. Tenecor

lol! You provide the booze and single women and I'll certainly bring it out.

I had such grand things planned for this thing and didnt even measure my doorway and 90 degree turn down the basement stairs before buying it...such a stupid mistake.

I've considered cutting it apart and using the acrylic for viewing windows in the 2000gal. pond I'm going to built but just cant bring myself to destroy just a good looking tank.

Re: 300gal. Tenecor

I don't think it is from closing your eyes, or the Brandy........

Re: 300gal. Tenecor

Alright...well, let's give this a shot. Can a mod move this from the selling forum into an appropriate spot?

I wanna get your opinions about the best course of action for this project.

Here are pictures of the wall I'd have to cut out to move the tank into the basement. It's only a dividing wall...not load bearing or anything.
