Re: 300gal. Tenecor project

I'm sure you thought of this, but how tall are your celings? If they're a little over 8ft or more, stand the tank on one end and slide it around the corner, then once you get it on to the edge of the stairwell, bring it down a step, and pull the bottom out towards you and carry down the stairs. Obviously you would need a little help. That way all you would have to take out is the door jam and the small piece of wall above it. Just a thought????

Re: 300gal. Tenecor project

Sorry I havent responded to this sooner...my cable and internet have been out.

Anyway...

fidojoe: Yeah, I tried standing it on end. It's too tall. The hallway ceiling is like 7' 10"...just BARELY too short.

brian_e: I've thought about taking it apart and putting it back together, making a tab bit smaller, but have second guessed myself and have concerns about it leaking.

dobejazz: That's one thing I havent thought of...cutting the wall out and installing a railing. I'll have to give that one some serious thought.

I still may move into this loft, so we'll see. The good thing is, I could use the 300gal. as a room divider, but then I'd have to keep all the equip. inside the stand...I've spoiled myself, with a fish equipment ROOM, so I'm not sure I could go back to just cramming everything into the stand. lol

PLUS, it would give you storage space under the stairs, and who couldn't use more accessible storage space?

Re: 300gal. Tenecor project

I've driven Bimmers for years. We just sold our 90 735i, and I still have an 87 735i. I've owned a 73 2002 Tii, and an 82 320i. None of the newer ones, I'm just a poor working stiff. I USED to enjoy working on them, but since I got hurt, everything has to be done at the shop, so they've really been "Breaking My Wallet"
