Re: Rougie's 55 Ratiocinative Reef II

Finally! ~ I think I am ready to go! I just have to glue some pvc, do some wire mounting for my MH's and mount my controller. I also need to make some modifications to my sump/refrug and the water will go in!

Here is a picture of the equipment and items I have been collecting.

What I am using:

Remora Aqua C protein skimmer/w drain fitting
max jet 1200
2 max jet 900's for water movement
1 mag drive 7 pump
2 175 (14000K) MH with ARO ballasts
2 IceCap 120mm canopy fans w/ thermal sensors
1 AquaController Junior (backlit) with Direct connect 8
60lbs. of super naturals Tahitian moon sand (going for a very different look here)

Cheers!

Re: Rougie's 55 Ratiocinative Reef II

More Progress being made...

Well having some time off does help in setting up a tank!

I am almost there! A few photos for all of you....

~My canopy with the lights and wiring mostly in place (using u nails and 1/2" quick clips for all wires and cords). It is not all in place yet!
~2 views of the tank with my maxjet 900s in place
~2 views of my sump area and my balast placement, I am going with a 5100K bulb (38par) floodlight for my sump.

Any suggestions or comments? They are always welcome!

Cheers!

Re: Rougie's 55 Ratiocinative Reef II

Great stuf Rodger. I'd take out the nails and counter sink screws in the hood. Much better for salt water corrosiveness.
