Actually, I only hit it once! I was lucky.. I usually hit it a few times before I hand the hammer back over!

We had to empty our 50 gal tub that we were storing our LR in and cooking before we were ready due to the fact that I was walking across the carpet on Thanksgiving night and walked right in a pool of water!
It had sprung a leak in the bottom!!
Another flood!

We may be getting a handle on the cyano problem but, I still need to get over to the LFS and pick up some snails! We have been very busy trying to get marks house painted and fixed up for re-sale.

I would also like to pick up some small pieces of LR to re-seed our old rock.

Re: Gina and Mark's New 75 Gallon.

Just a quick update....
Our cyano is slowly disappearing.
I bought Mark a Butterfly on friday for part of his Christmas. Below is a pic of her/him. We also purchased 6 Turbo snails while we were at the LFS. Mark went on e-bay an purchased 50 Vibex Nassarius snails which will be coming next week.

Every since we added the LR from the tub our skimmer has been working overtime! We empty the cup at least twice a week.

Mark is considering building and incorporating a fuge to our system. Not sure where we will put it since it's kinda crowded under the aquarium.
We have a ton of pods but, want to have a place where they can multiply since we would like to have a Scooter Blenny.

Anyways, that's it for now.
And no, our rock isn't that green nor is the fish! I just don't know how to take a good pic! LOL

Looks great Gina! How big is the copperband? Glad you are getting the cyano under control. I am on going into round 2 of it with the school tank. I already did round one at home!

Cheers!

Re: Gina and Mark's New 75 Gallon.

Thanks Rodger! He is about 3 inches from the end of his tail to the tip of his nose.

Good luck with the cyano at school! The turbos we have are going crazy for the stuff that we can't reach! Do you have any of those?

Re: Gina and Mark's New 75 Gallon.

I forgot to mention! Mark made up a bunch of mush last night for the first time. The fish love it! We followed Doni's receipe for the most part. We added in some Cyclop-Eeze also. Thought we'd give it a try and see how it goes instead of buying frozen food all the time. So far so good!

Yes I do have turbos. I was not aware they ate the stuff. What species do you have that eat the cyano? I have to get some more for school anyway. My LFS will order me anything. BTW provided I have no conflicts with the fish list I am making for my 55 - copperband is on my "must have" list!

Cheers!

I've had good luck with Ceriths getting rid of cyano. Not sure if they eat it, or just dislodge it and it gets removed by the filtration, but I throw a ton of these in my fish tanks at work and they do a good job of keeping the sand and rocks red free.

His appetite is great! I had them feed him before we purchased him just to make sure he ate! He's a little pig for sure!

Will get a full tank shot for you later tonight!
