Re: Gina and Mark's New 75 Gallon.

Looking great Gina, you'll love the 75 perfect depth to work in the bottom of the tank if you're short like me. I love your stand with those nice big doors, it's actually the one that I wanted, but here it was pushing $400 which I wasn't willing to shell out. Mine has smaller access doors which at times can make it difficult to get at, and my 20L sump didn't want to fit in at first.

Have fun tinkering with the new tank, can't want to track the gress.

Re: Gina and Mark's New 75 Gallon.

The model that we purchased was the super squirt. Mark figured that it was sufficient for the volume that we needed to move. The page said it was good for 2200 gph.

I think the super squirt was a good decision I know it is a very popular o/m product. best of luck getting it set up.

Re: Gina and Mark's New 75 Gallon.

Yesterday we purchased the pvc that we'll need to hook up the OM.
Mark is completely redoing the closed loop now. Hoping to get it done today.
Once that is done, we'll probably start working on the 20g turning it into our sump.

Thought I would post some pics for now of the electrical board that we installed under the tank.

Re: Gina and Mark's New 75 Gallon.

We only have access to 1. But, we aren't using all of the outlets. The home (trailer) I live in is only wired for 70amps anyway. And we just upgraded that this summer from 50amps. Needless to say I used to trip it about once monthly just from running too many appliances. Since we upgraded we haven't had that happen!

Excellent electrical board! I need one of those! My powerstrips are turning into quite a mess.

Re: Gina and Mark's New 75 Gallon.

Today we are going to upgrade our sump. Currently we are using the 10g sump that was used on our 46. We are taking the 20g that we housed the fish and corals in and turning it into the new sump.

We are still cooking our old LR so, I haven't been able to do any aquascaping. I would love to have just bought some new rock but, at this time I can't really afford to do that.

The only coral that did not do well in the transfer is our Toadstool. I am convinced that it is dying. I have been watching it well for the last several days.
Going to test the water again today and make sure we are still doing ok.

We still need to make the canopy and new light fixture. This has been a slow process but, that's ok.

When I set up the old 46, I had to get everything right away and moved way to fast. I have learned to be patient (a little) and take it one step at a time.

Will get some pics of the new sump on once it's complete.
