Witty: Good call on the fan. It has helped with the temperature which has dropped 1.5 degrees. Still a bit high, but better. I am working on putting some fans in the canopy section and will do as mentioned Woodstock.

Update: Added more narssarius snails - total of 11. Live rock is looking great. What a difference they have made. I guess thay are not called "clean up" crews for nothing! Real bumber, one week of school left as tank is really coming together, but what potential there is for the incoming students. I have some great ideas how to use it.

Cheers!

Good one Woodstock! But I am not crazy!

I will be in along with another teacher to maintain the tank. I just hope something that was told to me by my LFS owner yesterday: One of the schools here over the summer had the janitors drain the tank to move it and wax the floor and placed it back and filled it with a garden hose. It was a saltwater tank...hummm. My custodial staff will not do such a thing, besides it weighs over a ton!

Cheers!

I foresee a large "MARINE TANK - Do Not Wax Floor" note taped to the tank~!!

That's good you can share the burden with another teacher.

For a really easy fundraiser through Pizza hut, pm me and I'll give you the details.
Anyone else with a non-profit can pm me too. Pizza Hut has good, easy fundraisers for non-profits and schools

Updates Updates! Week of 6-6-05

Tank is looking much better. I wish I had photos of the tank before.

Lost a snail, but as you can see from the pictures they are doing a number on the live rock...or dead rock in this case!

Full tank shot as requested and one of the middle of the tank so one can get an idea of what the rock looked like before.

Lastly a picture of our sump now. I have 11+ lbs. of live rock in there now. Any suggestions are always welcome and highly encouraged!

Noticed a small spike in nitrite today but still is in acceptable levels. All other tests are fine. Temperature down to 27 celcius, but need to get lower with some fans. Working on that now.

Cheers!
